I don't think I am the first to put your
sliders to the test, but here is a result of a 100mph low side with your fork sliders.
This happened last weekend at T-Hill on Saturday’s AFM practice. It was a VERY windy
day, I felt like I was in Florida. I was going down the front straight at about 125+
with a back wind. As soon as I made the left into turn one I felt a gust of wind
push me wide to the edge of the other side of the track.
I leaned it a little more but the rear
wheel caught the dirt and lost traction, causing the bike to hit the ground. Luckily
for me it was pointed into the track so the bike slide about 40-50 yards towards
turn 2. The sliders were still usable after this crash,
unlike the frame sliders that I had on there.
Thanks for saving my forks,
Mike
(editor’s note: The damage to the Ohlins
sticker shown on the fork was present before Mike started using the fork sliders
and was not a result of the crash described above.)
